Our place, Omprakash Shivprakash, is located right in the Light Industrial Area. If you know the 4/5/74/2 plot, that is us. We’ve been operating out of this spot for years. It’s a practical location because there are lots of other shops nearby. We handle a bit of everything here. Most people just call us by the name on the sign. It’s a family-run kind of thing, passed down through the years. The walls could use some fresh paint, but the work we do inside is what matters. We deal with industrial supplies and parts. It gets quite hectic on Monday mornings when the trucks arrive. We don't spend money on fancy advertisements or big slogans. Usually, a neighbor tells another neighbor about us. That’s how we’ve stayed open. The floor is usually covered in some kind of metal shavings or grease, depending on the day. We have a few guys working here who have been with us for a long time. They know where every bolt and screw is kept. Sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what a customer needs in the back, but we usually have it buried somewhere in the stacks. We like being part of the Light Industrial Area community. It's a lot of manual labor and long hours, but it’s an honest living. We just keep our heads down and do what needs doing for whoever walks through the door.
