S K Earth Movers

S K Earth Movers is located right on Masjid Street in Thandur. Our house number is 9-171, which is where we run everything from. It is a small village area, so everyone knows where the Masjid is. It makes it easier for people to find us without needing a map or a phone. We have a few machines that we use for different jobs around the district. Sometimes the equipment breaks down and we have to spend the whole day fixing it in the yard. That is the part of the job I don't like much, getting grease all over my hands and clothes. But you have to do it if you want the machines to keep running properly. My son helps me with the scheduling now. He is much better with the mobile phone than I am. We take jobs as they come. Sometimes it is digging for a new house foundation, other times it is clearing out some land for a farmer. The weather really dictates when we can work. If it rains too much, the ground gets too soft and the machines get stuck in the mud. Then we just sit and wait for it to dry up. It is a quiet life here in Thandur for the most part. We have lived on this street for a long time. People just come to the door when they need something done.
