Pratap Cement

Pratap Cement is a small outfit at 451 in Buggaram, which is over in Neradigonda. We mostly handle cement bags for local builders and people fixing up their own homes. The shed we use is pretty basic, but it keeps the cement dry, which is the main thing. Neradigonda is a quiet enough place, but we see a fair amount of activity at our gate. Loading those bags is hard on the back, so we have a few strong guys who help out. We’ve been at this address for several years now. It’s not the kind of place with air conditioning or soft chairs. We have a wooden bench out front where people wait while we load their carts or trucks. My father started this, and now I’m the one looking after the daily stuff. We don't really have a big plan for the future, we just want to keep the shop running like it is. Sometimes the supply from the bigger factories gets delayed, and we have to explain that to our regulars. Most people are understanding since they know us. We just keep the ledger updated and make sure the count is right at the end of the day. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy. You can find us right there at 451. We usually close up early on Sundays to spend time with family.
