Orient Paper & Industries Limited

Our operation is located at the Orient Cement plant in Devapur, in the Adilabad district. Sujit Kumar Basu is the one who handles things as the General Manager for the captive power plant here. It’s a big industrial site, and our office is right in the middle of all the action. The pin code is 504218, which is a bit of a remote spot in Andhra Pradesh. Working at a power plant means the work never really stops. We are always keeping an eye on the machinery and making sure the power stays steady for the cement works. It’s a dusty and loud environment, but we’ve grown to like the rhythm of it. We don't have fancy office furniture or air-conditioned lobbies. Most of our day is spent in boots and work clothes. We deal with technical reports and maintenance logs mostly. Living in a place like Devapur is quiet compared to the city, but the plant is always humming. We eat together in the canteen and talk about how the shift went. It’s a very practical kind of life. We focus on the boilers, the turbines, and the daily output. There isn't much room for anything other than hard work out here. We just try to keep the plant running as it should. It’s a big responsibility, but we just take it one day at a time. This is where we work and live.
