Leela Satya Sri Clinic

Our clinic is situated right on the Bus Stand Road in Sirpur Kaghaznagar. Because we are so close to the bus stand, it gets very dusty and loud outside. You can hear the conductors shouting destinations all day long. Many of our patients come from the villages nearby, getting off the bus and walking straight to our door. The clinic is just a few rooms, really. We have a small area where people wait, and a back room where we do the consultations. The walls are a pale color and we have some old calendars hanging up. We deal with basic health problems mostly, like coughs or stomach aches. It is a simple place with a few wooden chairs and a desk for the paperwork. When the buses pull out, the whole building vibrates a little bit. We keep a fan going to move the air around, but it is still warm in the afternoons. Sometimes we have to wait a while for deliveries to arrive because of the traffic on the road. We know many of the shopkeepers on this street, and we often get our tea from the stall at the corner. It is an honest way to spend the day, helping people who are just passing through or living in town. We do not have anything fancy here, just a stethoscope, some medicine, and a place for people to sit when they do not feel well.
