Durga Cement Bricks

Over at Plot No. 214 in Durganagar, specifically the Mavala area, you’ll find us making bricks. Durga Cement Bricks is basically a yard where we mix things up and let them set. It’s dusty work, and your hands are always going to be a bit grey by the end of the shift. We have a couple of survey numbers on the land, 133/1 and 133/1/1, so it’s a decent sized space for stacking the finished bricks. Rain is our biggest enemy here. If it pours, we have to scramble to cover everything up or we lose a whole batch. We don’t have a fancy website or a sales team. Usually, people just drive up in their trucks and tell us how many they need. We load them up, and that’s that. It’s physical work, lifting and moving, and it keeps you tired. But there’s something nice about seeing a big pile of bricks ready to go out for a new house or a wall somewhere in town. We’ve been in Mavala for a while, and most of the locals know where to find us. We don’t spend much time in an office; we’re usually out where the cement is. It’s simple, honest work that needs to be done, and we’re the ones here doing it day after day. We just focus on keeping the mixtures right and the drying racks full. It’s a long day, but we get it done.
