If you head down to the Maganti Complex in Bellampally, you will find our hospital tucked into the Post Office Lane. Dr Santosh Singh Thakur and the rest of us here at Usha Sri Memorial Hospital stay pretty busy most days. The town is growing, so there are always people coming in and out of the doors. We aren't a giant city hospital with shiny glass walls, just a local place where folks come when they aren't feeling well or need a checkup. Being near the post office means there is always a lot of foot traffic and noise from the street, which keeps things lively. We have a few rooms and the usual equipment you'd expect to see. The staff mostly lives nearby, so we know a lot of the families who walk through the door. It gets a bit cramped sometimes when the waiting room fills up, but we do what we can to see everyone in a reasonable time. The building has been here for a bit, and we keep it as clean and organized as possible given how many people visit. We handle all sorts of regular health stuff, from kids with scraped knees to older folks needing their medicine adjusted. It is just a regular part of the community here in the Mandal. We try to be helpful and keep the paperwork from getting too messy, though that’s a challenge sometimes. Just a local hospital doing its thing for the neighborhood.
