Anand Traders

You can find Anand Traders at 4/4/494 in Bhoktapur. It’s a simple setup we’ve got here, nothing fancy to look at from the street. We mostly deal with trading different goods that the local people and businesses need. The shop is often filled with boxes and sacks, depending on what we’ve just had delivered. It can get a bit cluttered, but we know where everything is kept. The mornings are usually our busiest time because that’s when the transport arrives and we have to unload everything. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who have been working together for a long time. We know our regulars by name and they know us. Bhoktapur isn't a huge place, so word gets around fast if you don't do things right. We try to stay honest and just give people what they are looking for without a lot of fuss. Sometimes the ledger takes a while to balance at the end of the month, but that is part of the job. We don’t have a website or a social media page because we haven't really felt the need for one. People just come by the shop when they need something. We keep the doors open six days a week and try to keep the stock moving. It’s a quiet life, but it keeps us busy enough. Some days are slow, but we just use that time to organize the shelves.
