Raju Bricks

You can find us at Pl.No.15/9 in Raju Gari Palayam, which is part of the Martur-Mandal area. We’ve been making bricks here for quite some time now. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so you’ll usually see a few of us running around the yard. The ground is always red from the dust. We don’t have any fancy office, just a small shed where we keep the books and take a break from the heat. Most of our day is spent outdoors, moving bricks from the kiln to the storage piles. It’s hard on the back, but we’re used to it by now. People from all over the mandal come here when they need materials. We try to keep enough stock so nobody has to wait, but sometimes we run low during the busy building months. Raju Bricks is just a local name, and we like it that way. We know the roads around here and who is building what. Sometimes neighbors stop by just to chat for a bit. We don't do any big advertising, people just know where we are. It’s a simple life, working with the earth and fire. We wait for the bricks to cool down before we stack them up. It’s a long process but seeing a finished house made with our bricks feels good. We just keep going, day after day, making sure the work gets finished. It keeps the food on the table.
