S. K. Handicraft is set up in A-15-16, HIG, within the Riico Colony in Sirohi district. Being in a Riico area means there are a lot of other small industries and workshops nearby. We have been working out of this space for quite some time. It is a mix of a warehouse and a small production area. We make various handicraft items using local materials. There is always something being sorted, cut, or packed in the back. The front part is where we keep some of the finished pieces so people can see them. It is not a fancy showroom by any means. The walls are just painted brick and the floor is concrete. We have a small team of workers who have been with us for years. They know exactly how everything should be done. Sirohi can get very hot, so we usually start our work very early in the morning to beat the heat. By the afternoon, we are mostly doing the lighter tasks. We don't have a big sales team. Most of our orders come from people who have known us for a long time. We ship things out to different places, so there are always wooden crates and packing straw lying around. It’s a bit messy, but that's how a real workshop looks. We just focus on making things that last and keeping the business running steadily.
