Maa Gayatri Rice Mill

Maa Gayatri Rice Mill is located in Village Talwandi Ranna. We are right on the Main Road in the Industrial Area. You cannot really miss the sound of the mill when things are running. It is a busy place, especially during the harvest seasons. We have been part of this village area for quite a while now. The Main Road gets a lot of tractor traffic and trucks carrying grain. It is a dusty, loud environment, but it is where the work happens. We do not have a fancy office. There is just a small room where we keep the books and talk to the farmers. Most of our time is spent out where the machines are. It is hard work, and the building shows it. It is not about looking pretty; it is about processing the rice correctly. We have a small crew of locals who know the machines well. Sometimes things break down and we have to fix them on the spot. That is just part of running a mill. Talwandi Ranna is a place where people know the value of a day’s labor. We just fit into that. There are no marketing people here, just us trying to keep the mill going and the grain moving. If you stop by, you will probably find us covered in a bit of dust. It is just the nature of the job. We do what we do and stay busy throughout the year.
