Our office is at 7/A Ratlam Kothi, which is right by Geeta Bhawan Square on A.B. Road. If you know Indore, you know this is a very busy part of town where everything happens. There is always a lot of movement outside with people heading to the square or catching buses to other parts of the city. We are located in a building that has seen better days, but it serves us well for our daily work and meetings. Inside, it is mostly desks covered in papers, maps, and drawings related to construction projects we are handling. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at computer screens, trying to figure out how things are going to be built on site. It’s not a very quiet place because the sound of the traffic on A.B. Road never really stops even at night. We usually have tea a couple of times a day while we discuss what needs to be done next on the schedule. The floor is just regular tile, and we have some old filing cabinets that are stuffed to the brim with old records. It’s a practical workspace where we focus on getting the technical details right for the builds. We don’t have any fancy reception area or anyone to greet you at the door. People who come to see us are usually contractors or workers who are used to the same kind of environment. It’s just us doing our job in the middle of a busy city, making sure the plans keep moving.
