Sjagannath Constructions Private Limited is run out of House Number 210 in Makanpur Garai. It is a regular house that we have turned into our workspace. This means the kitchen is where we have our meetings and the living room is full of filing cabinets and maps. It works for us because we are a small operation and we like being right in the middle of the residential area. We do a lot of construction work for people nearby. Most of our days are spent out on various job sites, so the house is often empty until the evening. When we are there, we are usually catching up on the paperwork or talking to suppliers on the phone. Makanpur Garai is a quiet place for the most part, which is nice when you are trying to concentrate on a blueprint. We don't have a big sign outside or any bright lights. We just have our name on the door. People usually hear about us from their neighbors or friends who have seen our work. Construction involves a lot of waiting for things to dry or for the right parts to arrive. We have learned to be patient over the years. We aren't trying to be the biggest company around. We just want to do a decent job so we can keep working. It’s a straightforward life and we wouldn't have it any other way. We focus on the bricks and the cement.
