Remarkable Fashion House is situated in Roynagar, down in Diamond Harbour. It is a good distance away from the main city buzz, which we actually prefer for our daily work. We are at Maniruzzman Khan’s place. The area is quite green and it feels a bit more relaxed than the urban centers. We have a decent-sized space where we handle all our fashion production. It is mostly filled with big cutting tables and racks for the clothes. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or expensive furniture. We would rather have good working machines that don't break down. The team here is mostly local folks who have been in the garment trade for a long time. We start our work early to beat the heat of the afternoon. There is a lot of back and forth about which thread matches which fabric best. It is a very practical environment. We don't have a mission statement on the wall; we just have a calendar with delivery dates marked in red ink. Sometimes we have to work late when a big order is due, but we usually manage to get home for dinner on time. The air from the river nearby makes it a bit cooler in the evenings. We just do our best to put out decent work every day. People around Diamond Harbour know us as the place where the sewing happens. It is a steady life.
