RAICHAUDHURI CONSTRUCTION PRIVATE LIMITED

We are over here on P K Banerjee Road, right in Ward 9 of Kolkata. Raichaudhuri Construction is basically just a small group of us trying to keep busy with local building work. Srabani Rai Chaudhuri helps keep things running from the office side of things. It’s not a fancy setup, just a desk and some chairs where we talk about the next job. Most days we are out at the sites, looking at cement and checking on the guys. Kolkata can be a tough place to get materials delivered on time because of the traffic, so we spend a lot of time on the phone. It’s hot work most of the year. We started this because there’s always someone needing a wall fixed or a small house put up. We don’t have a big corporate team, just a few people who know how to handle tools. If you walk down the road near Shasan, you might see us. We’ve been around this part of the city for a while now. The paperwork takes up more time than I’d like, but that’s how it goes when you’re running a private limited company. We try to keep things simple and honest. No big speeches or anything like that. Just showing up and getting the bricks laid. Sometimes the weather slows us down, especially when the monsoon hits, but we just pick it back up when the sun comes out again.
