Kojagori Nidhi Limited

Kojagori Nidhi Limited is located over in Kanaipur Colony, right near the Jagarane Club. We share the space with Sankar Banerjee, and it’s a fairly easy spot to find if you know the neighborhood. The club is always active, so there is usually a bit of noise and life happening just outside our doors. Inside, we keep things a lot quieter. It’s just a basic office where we manage the local savings for people in the colony. We aren’t a big operation with dozens of staff members. Usually, it is just a couple of us handling the paperwork and talking to people when they walk in. The colony has a real sense of community, and we try to reflect that in how we work. We don’t use any complicated forms or long-winded processes. If someone wants to put a bit of money aside, we just help them do it. Sometimes the rain makes the road a bit muddy, which slows things down, but we are always here during our regular hours. Sankar is a familiar face to most, which helps people feel comfortable. We spend our afternoons filing papers and checking the daily entries. It’s not glamorous work, but it is important for the folks who live around the Jagarane Club. We just take things one day at a time and try to be helpful to those who stop by.
