Iqraa Social Development Foundation

We are based out of a house in Banshra Gutiarisharif, which is part of the South 24 Parganas district. If you are looking for Iqraa Social Development Foundation, you have to find your way through the local paths near Alaudddin Molla and Maidul Gayen’s place. It’s a very local spot, not like the big city offices you see in the middle of Kolkata. Around here, the air feels a bit different and the pace of life is definitely slower. We spend our days working out of this space, dealing with the daily ups and downs of life in a rural area. Sometimes the electricity goes out or the roads get a bit muddy during the monsoon, but we just keep going. The foundation is really just a bunch of local people who wanted to do something right here in our own community. We don't have fancy furniture or a big reception desk. Most of the time, it's just us sitting around a table with some tea, figuring out the next steps for our projects. People from the village often drop by just to say hello or ask for help with small things. It's a very open door kind of place. We’ve been part of this neighborhood for some time now, and everyone knows where the office is. It’s practical and simple, just the way we like it to be for the work we do. There is a small Hossainpatherbari nearby too. It is just a regular place for us.
