Green Phenix Aqua Private Limited

Down in South 24 Parganas, specifically in Angadberia village, we run Green Phenix Aqua Private Limited. It’s a small place near Tangrakhali. Badal Ch Sarder is the one who looks after the main part of the business. Since we are in an area with so much water, we decided to focus on raising fish. It’s different from regular farming because you can’t see what’s happening under the surface most of the time. You have to learn how to read the water. We have several ponds where we grow different kinds of local fish. It’s a daily job to feed them and check that the water isn't getting bad. We aren't a big, fancy company. We are just a few people from the village who put our money together to start this. Our office is just a simple spot where we keep our supplies. We don't have a lot of employees, just ourselves and some neighbors who help during the harvest. It’s a risky business sometimes. If a big storm comes, the ponds can overflow and we lose everything. We’ve had a few bad years, but we just keep trying. We don't use any big words or marketing tricks. We just sell our fish to the local traders and try to get a fair price for all the work we put in. It’s a quiet life, focused on the ponds and the seasons, and we like it that way.
