You’ll find us on the ground floor at 18/B, Lock Gate Road. It’s a small space, but it’s enough for what we do. Being right there near the LP U G line means we get a fair bit of foot traffic and noise from the street. We deal with properties in and around Diamond Harbour and this part of the city. It’s practical work. People come in looking for a place to rent or wanting to sell a bit of land they’ve had for years. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a receptionist to greet you; you just walk in and talk to whoever is at the desk. The walls are a bit plain and the lighting could be better, but we’re more focused on getting the deeds and titles sorted out. Sometimes the rain makes the street a bit messy, so we spend a lot of time mopping the floor. It’s a modest way to run a business, but it works for us. We know the local owners and the history of many of the buildings nearby. That helps when someone is trying to figure out if a price is fair or not. We don't use big words or try to impress anyone. We just tell you what we know and try to help you get the keys or the payment you’re looking for. It’s a steady pace most weeks. We close up around six unless there's someone still here.
