We are located over in Batanagar, specifically in the Nangi area. Our office is set up care of Bhimandas Mulchandanichak Chandul. It’s a bit of a mouthful to say, but locals know exactly where it is. Batanagar has its own vibe, very different from the middle of Kolkata. We’ve been working under the name Atithi Devcon for a while now. Most of our days are spent dealing with local development and construction projects around here. It's a hands-on kind of job. You won't find us wearing suits or sitting in air-conditioned rooms all day. Usually, we are out on the sites or sitting at the desk with some blueprints and a cold drink. The office is pretty basic. We have what we need to get the work done and not much else. People from the neighborhood often drop by just to ask questions or see how a project is coming along. We like that kind of interaction because it keeps us grounded. The whole "big company" act isn't for us. We are just a group of people who know the local land and how to build on it. It’s a lot of hard work and sometimes the deadlines are tight, but we manage. We’ve lived in this area for a long time, so we care about what happens to it. It’s just regular life for us, keeping the business running and the projects moving forward. We usually finish up when the light gets too low to work on the sites anymore.
