The office is at 56/1 on Lokmanya Tilak Road in Budge-Budge. It’s an older part of Kolkata, and you can feel that history when you walk down the street. We’ve set up our chartered accountancy practice right here, and it suits us just fine. It’s a straightforward kind of place. We don’t have any of those fancy glass partitions or high-end office furniture. Instead, we have solid old desks and chairs that have served us well for a long time. There’s a lot of paper moving around—tax returns, audit files, and ledger books. It’s the kind of work that requires a lot of patience and a steady hand. The traffic outside on Lokmanya Tilak Road can get pretty loud during the day, with all the horns and people shouting, but we’ve grown used to it. It’s just the background noise of our working lives. We spend our hours checking and re-checking figures. Sometimes we have a bit of a laugh about a particularly messy set of books a client has brought in. It’s all part of the job. People from the neighborhood know they can just walk in and talk to us. We don't make things complicated with big words. We just explain the tax rules as they are. It’s a small, practical office where the main goal is just getting the accounting work done right for the folks in Budge-Budge. We just keep our heads down and get the filings finished.
