It's a busy stretch of road with a lot of trucks and traffic going past all the time. Being on the ground floor makes it easier to load and unload the fabric rolls. The space is pretty functional, mostly just rows of sewing machines and cutting tables. We don’t have any big signs or anything, just a regular garment unit. The dust from the road comes in sometimes, but we’re used to it by now. Most of the people working here live nearby in the Budge Budge area. We started this because there’s a lot of garment work around here. It’s not a corporate setup at all. We mostly just focus on the daily output and making sure the machines don't break down. There’s always a lot of thread and scrap fabric on the floor by the end of the shift. We have our lunch breaks together, usually just sitting around the back. It’s practical work. We keep our head down and get the sewing done. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but we’ve got a good rhythm going now.
