Allveno Jeans Private Limited. Located at Monalisa Sekh's place in Gazipur. It’s out in the Samukpota area, near Kanganberia. We mostly make jeans. It’s a busy spot in South 24 Parganas. The workshop is always humming with the sound of machines. We aren't a big corporation, just some local people working together. The weather can get pretty humid around here, but we keep at it. Sometimes the fabric deliveries are late, which can be frustrating. We spend a lot of time on the floor checking the stitching. It isn't glamorous work, but it pays the bills. Most of us have been around this neighborhood for years. The address is a bit hard to find if you aren't from around here, right near the Bishnupur side. We’ve got a small team and we know each other's families. It's the kind of place where we have tea together in the afternoon. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just focus on getting the denim cut and sewn properly. The building isn't anything special to look at, just a practical space for garment work. We’ve been here for a bit now and have seen the area change. We try to keep the machines in good shape. It’s just how things go in a small garment setup like ours. We work long hours when there are big orders to finish. It’s loud and dusty most days, but it’s our routine. The drive out here can take a while if the traffic is bad near the market, but we are used to that. We just want to keep the work moving and make sure the bundles are ready on time.
