Weston Nirman LLP is based out of HB-170 in Sector III of Salt Lake. This part of Kolkata is a bit more residential than the business districts, so it feels a little more relaxed, though the work itself is still a headache sometimes. We have our setup here in North 24 Parganas, and we’ve been working out of this HB-170 spot for a good while. Most of our mornings are spent answering emails or talking to the guys out on the sites. It’s a lot of practical stuff—checking on how many bags of sand we have left or seeing if the rain ruined the fresh concrete. We aren't a big firm with hundreds of employees. It's just a small group of us trying to make sure these buildings actually get built. The 700106 area is pretty familiar to us now. We know where to get the best snacks nearby and which roads to avoid during rush hour. Sometimes the office feels a bit cramped with all the samples and documents lying around, but it works for us. We don’t really bother with fancy decor or marketing stuff. We just care about whether the walls are straight and the roof doesn’t leak. It’s regular work for regular people. We stay busy with the local projects and try to keep things moving as best as we can without making too much of a fuss. We just get on with it every day.
