The office is located on the first floor of FE-518 in Salt Lake, Sector 3. It’s a fairly busy part of Kolkata, but once you get inside, it’s mostly just the sound of keyboards and the ceiling fans. We’ve been operating from this spot for a while now. It’s not a fancy place with modern art on the walls or anything like that. We have wooden desks that have been here since we started and plenty of shelves filled with blue and black folders. Being a chartered accountant firm means we deal with a lot of papers every single day. People come by with their tax worries or business accounts, and we just sit down and try to sort through the mess. It can get a bit overwhelming during the peak months, especially when the heat in Kolkata starts to rise. We drink a lot of tea to keep going. There’s a small tea stall nearby that knows our order by heart. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit steep, but they get you here. We don’t really do much in the way of advertising. Most people find us because someone else told them we were here. It’s a simple, honest way to run a business. We just focus on the numbers and making sure everything is filed where it should be. It’s not glamorous, but it is important work for the people who rely on us.
