You can find us right on Jessore Road, at 24/116 to be exact. We are on the first floor, which is nice because it’s just one flight of stairs and you’re in. Being in Dum Dum means it’s always busy outside. You can hear the traffic and the horns from the street all day long, but you sort of get used to it after a week or two. The office itself is where Thakkur & Son'S Export India Private Limited runs from. We’ve got stacks of documents and boxes everywhere. It’s a family-run kind of feel here, not one of those glass buildings you see in the city center. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the floorboards creak a little in the corner near the window. We spend our mornings checking orders and talking to people on the phone. Sometimes the rain hits the windows so hard you can barely hear yourself think, but that’s just Kolkata weather for you. We’ve been part of this neighborhood for a bit, so the local shopkeepers know us. It’s a tight space when everyone is in, but it works for what we do. We export things, and this first-floor spot is where all the planning happens. It’s just a regular workplace with regular people doing their jobs every day.
