We’re tucked away in the Jyangra Baguiati area, specifically at Db-8/2 on Dr Bc Roy Sarani. It’s a residential-feeling part of Kolkata, but we have our setup here. We deal with textiles, mostly the lighter stuff as the name suggests. The building is a bit hard to find if you don't know the landmarks. We spend a lot of time looking at samples and checking for defects. The light in the back room isn't the best, so we often take things near the window to see the colors properly. It’s a small operation, mostly family and a few helpers. We don't have a big corporate structure. If something needs doing, whoever is free just does it. Sometimes the neighbors’ kids are playing cricket right outside the door, which can be a bit distracting. The workspace is filled with rolls of cloth and scraps of thread. We keep a kettle in the corner for making tea throughout the day. It’s a quiet life compared to the city center. We aren't looking to become some massive company; we just want to keep our steady pace. Every now and then, the delivery van gets stuck in the narrow lane, and we all have to go out and help push or guide it. It’s just part of the day here. We take things as they come and try not to get too stressed about the deadlines.
