Our office is located at 68 Jessore Road, up on the fifth floor in flat 512. Jessore Road is always packed with traffic and people, so we hear the constant honking all day long. We’ve been in the estate business for quite a few years now. It’s a lot of work involving property management and some sales. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of employees in suits. It’s just a handful of us making sure everything runs smoothly for the properties we handle. Most days involve talking to lawyers, checking on old property titles, or meeting with people who are looking to buy or sell a place. We try to keep our paperwork organized, but with so many things happening at once, the desks can get a bit cluttered and messy. We don’t really go for those high-pressure sales tactics you see in movies. We’d rather just show the property and let the person decide if it fits their needs and budget. Kolkata’s real estate market can be tricky, especially around the Jessore Road area, so we try to stay updated on all the local rules and taxes. Sometimes the lift in the building acts up, and we have to walk the five floors, but it keeps us moving. We enjoy the interactions with different kinds of people every day. Every property has a different story, and every buyer has a different dream. We just play our small part in that whole process.
