Swasti Janakalyan Foundation

You can find the Swasti Janakalyan Foundation over in Hridaypur, specifically in Nibedita Park. We are operating out of Kamala Kanta Samaddar’s place in Barasat. It’s a local part of North 24 Parganas, with the 700127 postcode. We’ve been around for a bit, just trying to do some good for the community here. The word Janakalyan basically means people's welfare, and that's what we focus on. It isn't a big operation with lots of employees. It’s mostly family and friends who give their time. We help out with various local needs, whether it's health-related or just helping someone get through a tough week. Barasat is a big area, but we try to stay focused on the folks near Nibedita Park. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment or a polished office. It’s a lived-in space where we meet and talk about what the neighbors might need. Sometimes we organize small events or just distribute basic necessities when we can. It’s honest work, and it keeps us busy. We don’t spend money on advertising or anything like that. Most people know who we are just by living nearby. We try to keep our door open for those who have questions or need a bit of support. It is just a few of us trying to make Barasat a little easier for everyone living around here, one day at a time.
