About Sustainable Crafts And Textile Council – Textile in 24 Paraganas North
We are based out of Bh - 60 A in Krishnapur. The area is also called Sardarpara. It’s a bit quieter than the main parts of the city, which we like. Sustainable Crafts And Textile Council is basically just a few of us working out of this space. It’s not a big industrial unit or anything. We have some samples lying around and a few tables where we organize things. The neighborhood is mostly residential, so you see kids playing outside and neighbors chatting. It makes the workday feel a bit more relaxed. We don't have a big sign out front, just the house number. Sometimes people get a bit lost finding Sardarpara, but it’s easy once you know the landmarks. We spend a lot of time talking about fabrics and how things are made. It’s more of a workshop feel than a corporate office. There’s a lot of thread and bits of cloth here and there. We try to keep it tidy, but it gets messy when we are busy. We’ve been at Bh - 60 A for a while now. It’s a comfortable spot for the Sustainable Crafts And Textile Council to operate from. We don't really do much in the way of marketing. We just focus on the projects we have in front of us. It’s a simple life and simple work, and that suits us just fine. If you’re in the Krishnapur area, you might pass by us without even realizing it. We are just regular people working here.
