Suman Devi Foundation

Our office is right in the middle of the bustle at Seth Srilal Market in Khudiram Pally. We are located at Upendra Thakur’s place, which is quite close to Jasamati Jewellers. If you’ve ever walked through the market, you know how busy it gets with all the shoppers and vendors. Suman Devi Foundation operates from a small space here. It’s not the quietest spot, but it puts us right where the people are. We don't have a big reception area or anyone wearing suits. It’s mostly just us in our everyday clothes, handling whatever comes up. The market noise is constant, but you get used to it after a week or two. We have a lot of walk-ins because of the location. People stop by while they’re doing their shopping to ask about what we do or to get help with something. It’s a practical way to run things. We keep our records in a few metal cabinets and use a couple of old desks. Sometimes the power goes out in the market, and we just light a candle and keep talking. It’s not a polished organization. We are just a group of people trying to be useful in our local neighborhood. We don’t have a marketing team or anything like that. We just do our work and let people see it for themselves.
