Shreeji Garments Manufacturing Private Limited

We are based out at the Regent Garment and Apparel Park in the 24 Parganas North area. It’s quite a way out from the main city center, so the commute takes some time every morning. Shreeji Garments Manufacturing Private Limited isn't a small shop; it’s a proper manufacturing setup where things are always moving. You can hear the hum of the industrial machines before you even walk through the door. Rita Popat and the rest of us stay pretty busy keeping track of the production schedules. The park itself is a big place with lots of other units, so there’s always trucks coming and going. It’s not the most beautiful place to look at, just a lot of concrete and metal, but it’s where the work happens. Lunchtime is the only time it gets quiet, and we all sit together to eat what we brought from home. The floor is usually a bit dusty and there are threads everywhere, which is just part of the job. We don’t have a fancy showroom here. It’s strictly for making the clothes and getting them out to the people who sell them. Sometimes the monsoon rains hit the roof so hard we can barely hear each other talk, but we just keep the lines moving. It’s a straightforward life, just focusing on the garments and making sure the counts are right. We just do the work and try to stay on schedule every single day.
