We are located at 146 Shyamnagore Road in Kolkata. Sheraj Clothing has been operating from this spot for a while now. The building is older, like a lot of places in this part of the city, and it has a lot of character. We deal with all sorts of clothing items, mostly wholesale. When you walk in, the first thing you notice is probably the smell of new fabric and the sound of the ceiling fans. We have several people working here, some sorting the stock and others handling the phone calls and receipts. It’s not a high-tech operation. We still use a lot of paper and keep things in physical folders. Every morning we open up the shutters and start the day with a quick cleanup. The street outside is always noisy with people going to work or the market, but we’ve gotten used to it. We don't have a mission statement or any of that stuff. We just try to provide clothing that people want to buy at prices that make sense for everyone. It’s a lot of repetitive work, folding and packing and labeling, but it’s what we know. We aren't looking to change the world; we are just a local business trying to do a good job and keep our regular customers happy. It’s a simple, honest way to spend the day and we appreciate the people who come back to us year after year.
