Selectoid Business House Private Limited operates out of a flat in Nimta, specifically Flat D/F-110 in Block B on S.L. Chatterjee Street. It’s a bit of a quiet area compared to the main parts of the city, which is nice when you actually want to get things finished. The office feels more like a home because it basically is one. We have turned the rooms into workspaces with tables pushed up against the walls and wires running across the floor to keep the computers going. Getting here takes a bit of a walk from the main crossing, but the neighbors are friendly enough. Sometimes you can hear people cooking or kids playing outside while we are trying to handle our business paperwork. We don't have a big reception area or anyone to open the door with a smile. Usually, whoever is closest to the entrance just gets up and lets people in. The lighting isn't the best in the back room, so we mostly huddle in the front part where the windows are. It gets pretty dusty since the street outside is always being dug up for one reason or another. We spend most of our time here just looking at screens and talking on the phone. It’s not a glamorous setup, but it’s where we do our work every day. We’ve grown used to the quirks of the building, like the way the door sticks in the monsoon.
