We are over on Taki Road, up on the first floor at 11/5/A in Barasat. It’s a busy spot, but we like it here. People around North 24 Parganas know where to find us if they need help with stuff. It isn't a big fancy office or anything like that. Just some desks and chairs where we try to get things done for the community. We started this because we saw a lot of things that needed fixing around here. Sometimes it feels like there is more work than hands to do it, but we manage. Most days it is just us answering calls or talking to folks who walk in off the street. We don’t have a big team or a lot of money to throw around. We just do what we can with what is available. The stairs up to the first floor can be a bit much if you are carrying boxes, but you get used to it after a while. Most of the neighbors know us by now. It’s funny how word gets around in Barasat without even trying. We just keep the door open and see who comes by. It is mostly practical help, nothing too complicated. We try to stay grounded and focus on what is right in front of us today instead of worrying about the distant future. It's just simple, honest work that needs doing.
