Sabahat Azim Foundation

You can find our foundation at 98 Ideal Villa in Kochpukur, New Town. It is in the North 24 Parganas area. The office is in a residential sort of spot, which makes it feel a bit more relaxed than a typical business park or office block. We aren't a huge team. It is just a few of us working out of this space. We didn't set this up to be some big corporate thing. We just wanted a place where we could focus on some local projects. The room we use is okay, and it gets some good light in the morning hours. We have our computers and a lot of notebooks scattered around the place. We don't really go for the polished professional look. Most of the time we are just in casual clothes, drinking coffee and trying to figure out our next steps. We do a lot of coordination with people outside. It involves a lot of phone calls and messy spreadsheets. It is not glamorous work, but someone has to do it. We don't have any big slogans or fancy brochures. If you want to know what we do, you just have to come and ask us. We try to be straightforward with everyone. It is a small operation, and we like it that way. We don't have to deal with much red tape. We just make decisions and get on with things.
