Rgt Fashion is located on Nemai Chatterjee Road in Ghola Bazar. Swapan Roy’s place is where we have our setup. It is right in the middle of a busy market area, so there is always plenty of noise and movement right outside our doors. Inside, it is all about the garments. We have several rooms that we have converted into a workshop. It is a bit of a maze with all the boxes and rolls of fabric sitting around on the floor. We are not a polished company with a lobby or anything like that. You just walk in and you are right in the middle of the work. We spend our hours measuring, cutting, and stitching. It is repetitive work, but we find a good rhythm in it. The team here is small, and we all help out with whatever needs doing, whether it is packing boxes or cleaning the floor after a shift. We drink a lot of water and tea to stay hydrated because it gets very stuffy in the back rooms during the summer. We don't do any big advertising campaigns at all. Most people hear about us from other businesses in the bazar. We like being part of the local economy here in Ghola. It feels good to see the finished products leaving the shop at the end of the week. We are just a group of people working hard to get things right.
