Redrox Garments Private Limited

Redrox Garments is located in Kowgach, over in the Shyamnagar area. We are based at Kalpana Ghosh Chowdhary’s place, right in the 1no section. It is a standard West Bengal neighborhood where everyone knows everyone else. We spend our days making garments of various kinds. The house is usually full of the sound of sewing machines and people talking over the noise. It is not a silent place by any means. We have stacks of fabric in almost every corner of the main room. It can get a bit overwhelming when a new shipment of cloth arrives and we have to find space for it on the floor. We are not a big company with hundreds of workers. It is just a small group of us who know how to handle the machines properly. We focus on getting the pieces put together correctly. The weather here can be quite hot, so we have a few old fans that we keep running all day long to stay cool. Sometimes we take a short break and sit outside on the porch to get some fresh air. We have been in Shyamnagar for a bit and we like the pace of life here. It is not as fast as central Kolkata, which is nice for us. We just do our work, pack the boxes, and wait for the truck to come and pick them up. It is a simple routine but it works for our needs.
