Ps Jute Industries Llp is based out in Bongaon at Kalupur Biswapara. It is quite a distance from the main hub of Kolkata but this is where the actual work happens. Being in the North Parganas area means we are much closer to the source of our materials. The air is definitely different out here than in the crowded city center. We spend most of our time dealing with jute products and there is always a bit of that earthy smell in the office from the samples. It is a very hands-on kind of place to work. We are not sitting behind screens all day long because we are often out checking on the stock or talking to the workers. The building is not anything special to look at, just a functional space where we can get the job done without distractions. The roads in Bongaon can be a bit tricky when the monsoon rains come but we always manage to keep things moving. We have a small group of people who have been with us for years and it feels more like a family than a corporate office. We do not have any fancy brochures or big advertisements to show off. People usually find us because they know we are here and they know we do honest work. We focus on the quality of the jute and making sure it gets sent out on time.
