Optimistic Life Foundation

We are located on the fourth floor, flat 4C, over at HLD-82 on Sreema Road. It’s an older building in Kolkata, and sometimes the elevator is a bit finicky, so some of us just take the stairs. We started this foundation because we wanted to help people stay a bit more positive about things. Life in the city can get pretty overwhelming for everyone. We don’t have any fancy degrees or a big corporate backup. We’re just a small team of friends and neighbors who decided to put this together. The office is cozy, maybe a bit too small when we have visitors, but we make it work. There are always piles of papers on the desks and the sound of the city coming through the windows. We spend a lot of our time just listening to people. It’s not about having all the answers, because we don’t. We just offer a place where people can come and talk. Sometimes we share a meal while we discuss what needs to be done next. We don’t have a big logo or a shiny reception area. It’s just us. We use everyday language and don’t bother with all that professional talk you hear elsewhere. It feels more real this way. We’re just doing what we can from our little spot on Sreema Road.
