Our office is sitting right here in Itinda village, specifically at house number 737. Most of the people around North Twentyfour Parganas know us just by word of mouth because we’ve been in this spot for a while. We have the khatian number 2528 on the official papers, but it’s really just a small room where we do our work near Karigarparabasirhat. It gets quite humid in the afternoons, so we usually keep the windows open to catch whatever breeze comes through the trees. You might see some of us sitting outside on the porch when things are slow. We handle a lot of paperwork every day, and it can get a bit messy with all the files stacked up on the wooden desks. It’s not a fancy setup with bright lights or anything like that. We just use what we have and try to keep things organized so we don't lose track of the details. Sometimes the neighbors stop by to say hello or ask a quick question while they’re heading to the market. The road out front can get a little muddy when the monsoon rains start, but that doesn't stop people from coming by. We drink a lot of tea while we work, and there is usually a pot brewing in the back. It’s just how we run things here, nothing too complicated or stressful, just daily life in the village.
