Merash Textiles Private Limited is located near the airport at Flat No-C-2/31 in Kendriya Vihar, Mandal Ganti. Because we are in a residential complex, it feels a bit more like a home than a regular office. You can hear the planes taking off and landing throughout the day, which took some getting used to. The Kolkata 700052 area is a bit out of the way, but it works for us. We use the flat to keep our records and some of our textile samples. It’s a small operation, really. Usually, there are just a couple of us here, making phone calls and trying to coordinate with the production units. The dining table often ends up covered in fabric swatches and invoices. It’s not a corporate headquarters by any means. We like the quiet of the complex when the planes aren't overhead. We spend a lot of time on our laptops, sending emails and checking on the status of our orders. Sometimes we go out to meet clients, but a lot of the work happens right here in the flat. It’s a practical way to run things without all the overhead of a big commercial building. We take turns making tea and keep the atmosphere pretty relaxed. It’s just about getting the work done without any unnecessary drama or fuss. We’ve been here for a while and the neighbors don't seem to mind us much.
