Our animal hospital is at 1 No, Basu Nagar in the Ideal Abasan building. We’re in Flat G-2, right here in Madhyamgram. Being on the ground floor is a huge help when you have to bring in larger animals. Jls Animal Hospital Association has been in this flat for a few years. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes, especially when we have several dogs waiting in the hallway. There is always some kind of noise, whether it's barking or the sound of the equipment. We’ve got a couple of rooms set up for exams and a small area for storing medicine. It’s not a fancy clinic with a big lobby. It’s a practical space where we can help the local pets. Most of the people in Ideal Abasan know us by now. We spend a lot of time cleaning up, as you can imagine with animals coming in and out all day. Our desks are tucked into the corners where we can find space for our paperwork. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who really care about the animals. It’s hard work and the hours can be long, but we’re used to it. We just focus on doing the job right and keeping the animals as comfortable as we can. It’s nice to see the same pets coming back and seeing how they’ve grown over the years since we first opened our doors here.
