If you go to Salt Lake City, specifically Sector I, you will find us at DA-26. It is a different vibe than the older parts of Kolkata. Everything is a bit more laid out in blocks. We are Gaur Matsya and we focus on the fisheries business from here. Even though we are in a city building, our minds are usually on the ponds and the fish stocks elsewhere. The office is where we handle all the coordination. It is not a very big space, just some desks and a lot of files about fish breeding and sales. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to suppliers and people out at the farms. It gets a bit loud when everyone is trying to make calls at the same time. We don't have a retail counter here, so it is mostly just the staff doing the back-end work. Sometimes people stop by looking for a shop, but we have to tell them we just manage the operations from this spot. It is a practical way to run things. We drink a lot of tea while we look over the numbers and plan the next shipments. The area outside is quite green and quiet compared to the main roads. It is a good place to work without too much distraction. We are just a group of people trying to make the fish business work in a modern way from a regular office block.
