Dreaming Bees Foundation

Our small group runs things out of Flat 1A in Block 6 at Biswanath Abasan. If you know the Rajarhat Gopalpur area, specifically Nishi Kanan in Teghoria, you probably know where we are located. It’s basically a residential flat that we turned into a workspace for Dreaming Bees Foundation. It’s not a corporate building, just a regular place where we sit down and try to figure out how to help out. We’ve got some desks squeezed into the rooms and a lot of tea gets made in the kitchen every day. The neighbors are used to us by now and don't mind the extra foot traffic. We chose this spot because it's where we live and where we work. There’s no big fancy sign outside, just our name on the door. It gets a bit crowded when everyone shows up at once for a meeting, but we make it work somehow. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not. Most of our days are spent on the phone or walking around the block meeting people. Sometimes the power goes out or the internet is slow, and we just have to wait it out like everyone else. It’s a very local thing we have going here. We aren't flashy people. We just want to do some decent work for the community from our little corner of the building. It feels more like a home than an office, which suits us just fine. We like it here and have been here for years.
