Divyaganesh Awas Private Limited is based out of the 6th floor on Canal Street. It’s a bit of a climb if the lift is acting up, but the view of the water from up here is actually okay sometimes. We share space with S.S. Shroff, so that’s whose name is on the door if you’re looking for us. Our main thing is housing. We spend a lot of time dealing with the small details of building homes that people can actually live in without issues. It isn't always easy dealing with all the permits and the materials, but we manage. Kolkata is a crowded place, so finding good spots to build takes a lot of walking around and talking to people. We aren't a giant corporation with fancy coffee machines or anything like that. We are just a few people trying to make sure the walls are straight and the roofs don't leak. Sometimes we stay late when a project is finishing up, just to make sure the last bits are done. Canal Street has a lot of energy, and being in the 700048 area feels right for what we do. We’ve learned that in this business, your word matters more than a glossy brochure. We just show up every morning and try to get a bit more done than we did yesterday. It’s honest work and it keeps us on our toes every single day of the week.
