We are located in Banipur, Habra, over in the North 24 Parganas district. Our place is easy to find because we are right by the Banipur Satsangha Mandir. Chittadipan Biswas is the one who runs things here at the pharmacy. Being a herbal pharmacy, we deal with a lot of natural products. The area of Jeoldanga is quite nice, a bit more open than the crowded streets of Kolkata. We work out of a simple building that serves our needs. There is usually a smell of dried plants or herbs around the place, which is actually quite nice. We spend our days sorting through materials and making sure everything is labeled right. It is a very hands-on kind of business. We don't have a big marketing department or anything. We just rely on the work we do. Local people stop by sometimes to ask questions about what we have in stock. We try to be helpful. It’s a quiet life for the most part. The village atmosphere suits the kind of work we do with herbs. We have our routine and we stick to it. West Bengal has a long history with herbal medicine, and we are just continuing that in our own small way. It’s not a fancy setup, just some shelves, a few tables, and a lot of hard work. We are happy to be part of the community here in Banipur.
