Our office is on the 9th floor of the EN 34 building in Sector V, Salt Lake. Being in this part of Kolkata means there are always a lot of people around, especially during the mornings when everyone is heading to their offices. The view from our floor is mostly other buildings and the busy streets below. It’s a typical office setup with rows of desks and chairs. We have a small corner where we keep the kettle for tea and coffee. The elevator can be a bit slow during the rush hours, so we try to get in early. We spend most of our time at our computers doing digital work. It’s a quiet environment for the most part, except for the sound of typing and the occasional phone call. We have been here for a couple of years now. There isn't much in the way of decoration, just a few calendars on the walls. We don't have big corporate meetings or fancy events. We just get through our to-do lists each day. Many of us commute quite a distance to get here, so we usually head out as soon as the work is done. It’s a clean and functional space, even if it feels a bit plain. We like it because it’s a dedicated spot where we can just focus on what we need to do.
