Desher Pathe Foundation

Desher Pathe Foundation is located at 01 Krishnapur Chak. If you know the area, you know it’s just a regular corner where people go about their business. We’ve been operating from here for a while now. The name means something about the country's path, but mostly we just focus on the path right in front of us in the village. It’s a small group of us. We don't have a big budget or anything, so we just do what we can. Usually, that means helping a neighbor with their kids or seeing if we can get some supplies for the elderly folks who live alone. Krishnapur Chak is a tight community. We see the same faces every day at the tea stall and near the gates. Our office is just a room where we keep our files and meet up in the evenings. It’s not always organized, and sometimes we forget who was supposed to do what, but we get there in the end. We like the fact that people can just knock on the door without an appointment. If the lights are on, someone is usually there to listen. We aren't some big city charity. We are just local people who grew up here and want to stay here. Every day is different. Some days are quiet, and other days everyone shows up at once. We just handle it as it comes. It keeps us busy and connected to our roots.
