Up on the fourth floor of this building on Ripon Street, you can always hear the horns honking down below. Cobaltblue Exporting has been operating out of Flat 4A for some time now. Ripon Street has its own character, a bit old-fashioned and very crowded, which makes moving goods around a bit of a challenge sometimes. We focus on exporting, which means a lot of hours spent on the phone and dealing with customs agents. It is not a glamorous job, mostly just sitting at desks and making sure the shipping containers are booked and the documents are signed. The stairs in this building can be a bit much when the lift is acting up, but we are used to it by now. We are a small team, and we don't really go in for those big corporate meetings. We just sit around, drink some tea, and get the lists done. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, or the internet slows down, but we find ways to work through it. Living and working in this part of Kolkata means you have to be patient. We handle all sorts of stuff going abroad, and every day brings a new set of problems to fix with the logistics. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to make sure the boxes get where they are supposed to go without too much trouble.
